OUR STORY
The story of Dragan Brewing and Wine Company did not begin like other breweries or wineries.
One would think that an idea like this would sprout into existence as a product of a drinking session with friends, but instead ours began with a bedtime story told by our founder to his 6-month-old son, Dragan.
The story soon became a vision of a company that would strive to be better and make a difference. Not just in our products but with our employees, our customers, our business partners, our fellow breweries/wineries and the communities that we live in.
The story of the Dragan Brewing and Wine Company is only beginning. Where we go from here is going to be based on the decisions we make as a company, to stay true to our vision as well as the decisions all of you make as our fans, friends, customers and supporters to continue to be just that. We are putting together the best team possible to get us there.
THE TEAM
MICHAEL NAZARETH - CEO & PRESIDENT
At the helm of Dragan Brewing and Wine Company is President and CEO, Michael Nazareth.
Michael has over 15 years in the wine/beer, restaurant & hotel industries where he launched new start-ups as well as successfully re-branded various projects both locally and internationally. Handling and overseeing every part of the operation from vision, to development, strategy, marketing, implementation and distribution. Michael has spent the last few years planning and developing the Dragan project named after his 4 year old son.
What began with a bedtime story, became an extraordinary vision and now is coming to life.
BYEONG-JU JEONG - HEAD BREWER
Born in Seoul but raised in different cities throughout South Korean such as Busan, Incheon, and Ulsan. He studied at Inha University as a Physics Major and attended an exchange program at The University of Technology in Chemnitz, Germany. During his studies he explored Germany and The Czech Republic discovering different breweries, ultimately sparking his interest in beer. When Byeong-ju returned to Korea, he worked at a local brew pub in Seoul which further cultivated his fascination with craft beer. Eventually he moved to Canada to study brewing at Niagara College in 2019.
As the newest addition to The Dragan Brewing and Wine Company team, Byeong-ju has taken the position of Head Brewer. Dragan is honoured to have him as a part of the team and look forward to what’s in store.
